I'll have a go at another angle to try and generate interaction.
"Who Would Have Thought That" or WWHTT.
1) WWHTT, That after Dick and Mac McDonald introduced their "Speedee Service System" in 1948, that in the year ending 2007, revenue would exceed 22 Billion Dollars !! (Worldwide) and they would be operating in most Western Countries. (WWHTT, worldwide)
I wont rave on, I've deleted those.

"Who Would Have Thought That" Aussiedavid would delete his "raves". They were interesting and there was nothing wrong with them. Besides, some of us enjoyed getting his perspective. WWHTT.

Of course, I didn't spend an hour myself going through all the links...
I ended up there because I was wondering why Signal gas stations weren't around anymore. Looks like Standard Oil took them over.

Hi Chloe,
That is the Web Site I gathered most of my information from to create the "Profile" I submitted for Signal at the end of my posting of 'The Whistler'.

WWHTT,
As recent as 30 years ago you actually had to move from your lounge chair, or ask someone walking past, to change the channel or the volume on your television set for you. Or in fact turn it on or off!
WWHTT,
40 years or so ago I took a bag, weighing not less than 10 pound to a party, containing LP's and EP's that I or my girlfriend would like played..................AND I was required to have my partner home by 10.30 pm, on the dot...........

WWHTT... the only way to get real entertainment nowadays is to enjoy programs from 30, 40, or more years ago.

Ah, great minds think alike!
Read your profile but didn't realize that was your source. I'm listening to The Whistler at night, now. Most the way through it. Some I really enjoy and some are flat. WWHTT?

The next major upgrade, impacting us all, is the introduction...........already available, of super flash drives.
I have seen 120 mb, but pretty expensive.
Won't be long before we have 500 mb plus on neck straps.........seriously. And them some.

That several years after the Titanic sunk...some female singer from Canada sung a song that not only added insult to injury...but also did more damage to that poor ship than the iceberg...
It was also later revealed that it was a poor rivet formula that led to the disaster... One dive crew took 188 rivets from the ship and found 105 to be defective... That may have explained the reason some eye-witness accounts mentioned something about the ship "running over a thousand marbles"...

The back-up band for C. W. McCall would become even more famous for their Christmas albums than for Convoy itself...
As if most of you haven't already guessed...it is indeed Mannheim Steamroller that I'm talking about...
